How Does the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Work for Applicants for Homes?

People can apply for a home under the program through a straightforward process established by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. A person must fill out all of the necessary information on the form, which is essentially two pages long. Here is a description of each page, page by page, so you know what to expect:

• "Enter Aadhaar Number" on page 1. The application moves on to the following page after validating the Aadhaar number. The government uses the Aadhaar number to verify that a person applies for the program and does not cheat the system.

• Page 2: Enter the applicant's personal information. They must disclose information about the state where they currently reside, the family's head, present address, and other crucial facts.

There are two ways to use the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana:

·  Under the other three components: The Housing for All by 2022 Scheme counts the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Middle Income Groups (MIGs), and Lower Income Groups (LIGs) as beneficiaries. The annual income ceiling for EWS is set at Rs. 3 lakh. The LIG's maximum annual income ranges from Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 6 lakh. MIG's yearly income cap is between Rs. 6 lakh and Rs. 18 lakh. The MIG and LIG categories are eligible to use the CLSS component. EWS, on the other hand, is qualified for support across all verticals.

· Slum Dwellers - A slum is a neighborhood where 60 to 70 households, or roughly 300 individuals, reside in shoddily constructed homes. These areas lack sufficient infrastructure, drinking water, and sanitation amenities, and their surroundings are unclean. These people are eligible to apply for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana's Housing for All by 2022 Program.
