CHINTAMANI

Situated in the state of Karnataka, Chintamani is a Taluk Headquarter. Geographically this region is located on the Deccan Plateau in the South Eastern region of Karnataka. It belongs to the Kolar district and is a well planned township. Previously it came under the Chikkaballapur district but later it was placed under the Kolar district. This locality is well known for the production of tomatoes and silk. It has made the largest market of these products in Karnataka. Chintamani Taluk constitutes of six hobblies which are Ambajidurga, Munganahalli, Chintamani, Chilakalanerpu, Muragamalla and Kaivara. All these six hobblies have 340 villages under them.
