An Overview
The village of Harohalli is located in the Mysore District in Mysore Taluk of Karnataka, India. This village area is famous for the history it holds in its soil. The French Cemetery in the village of Harohalli came to existence when the French men were buried in here when they came to help Tipu Sultan. This cemetery is more than 250 years old. The cause of the death of the French men and their families was malaria and the battle they fought. Being a tourist attraction, the cemetery is not taken proper care. Due to improper transport facilities not much tourist comes to this part of the state.
