KANAKAPURA

Kanakapura is a city at Ramnagara district in Karnataka. It is also the headquarters of Kanakapura taluk. It is situated 55 km from Bangalore and it will take 1 hour to travel via buses. Kanakapura is famous for silk and granite production. Being situated in the middle of the forest, it is ideal for trekking and other tourism purposes. Kanakaupura is south to Bangalore on national highway NH-209. It is located on the banks of river Arkavathi and 27 km from Ramnagar. From Mysore it is 96 km and it is surrounded by many residential locations like Tigalarahalli, Boodhuguppe, Malagaalu and Aralalu. One can easily commute to this place via train and buses.
