Mysore Road, Bangalore

Mysore Road forms the initial 15 km stretch of State Highway 17 (SH‑17) that connects Bengaluru to Mysore—spanning from the city center to Kengeri and beyond. Encircling localities such as Nayandahalli, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Kengeri, Banashankari, and Bangalore University contribute to its expansive character. Served by the Purple Line, with stations including Mysuru Road and Nayandahalli. Future interchange with the Orange Line is planned, enhancing connectivity further. It links with NICE Road and Outer Ring Road, facilitating smooth travel to key zones like Electronic City and Peenya. A 100‑meter-wide arterial road (Major Arterial Road) connecting Mysore and Magadi Roads will launch soon, featuring medians, cycle tracks, footpaths, and a rail underpass to ease congestion.
