PERUNGUDI AT OMR

The city of Perungudi in the district of chennai is apart of the IT corridor. Despite it lacking basic sanitation requirements like an underground storm and waste drainage system, piped drinking water and even decent roads, it is highly preferred by the software engineers of the nearby IT firms and because of this the population is ever increasing and the officials are ill equipped for the task of its maintenance. The roads are always seen to be filled with garbage. Ironically the city also has a major landfill of the district which is quite famous in the news for illegal activities like burning garbage.
