An Overview
Thiruporur is a panchayat town which is located in the Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu. It is famous for the Thiruporur Kandaswamy Temple which is situated at the centre of the town and there is also a huge temple tank lying in close proximity to the temple itself. It is located in the OMR and is surrounded by Kelambakkam and Alathur Pharmaceutical Industrial Estate on two sides. Being located along the Old Mahabalipuram Road this area can be accessed easily both by private and public transport system. This is a residential area which is growing slowly over the years.
