Bhongir, often referred to as Bhuvanagiri, is a city and the district capital of the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district in the Telangana state of India. It is a part of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Area. Through time, this name evolved into Bhuvanagiri and then Bhongir.
