Zaheerabad, Hyderabad

In the Telangana state of India, the Zaheerabad or Zahirabad Municipal Council is an industrial city located in the Sangareddy district. The Ketaki Sangameshwara Swamy Devasthanam in Jharasangam, the Siddhi Vinayaka Temple in Rejinthal, the Hazrath Multani Baba Dargah in Metalkunta, and other historic religious sites are also accessible from Zahirabad. Zahirabad - Nawab Mohammad Zaheeruddin Khan (also known as Nawab Zaheer Yar Jung Bahadur) was a Paigah noble who gave the city its name. He was Nawab Moin-Ud-Dowlah Bahadur Asman Jah's first child. In Hyderabad state, there was a Sufi Islamic aristocratic dynasty known as the Paigah family or clan.
