AMBATTUR

Located in the western part of Chennai, Ambattur is a part of Chennai Corporation in the Thiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu. It lies close to the developing residential areas which are Anna Nagar, Avadi and Padi. Ambattur is served by the Ambattur railway station which is a part of Chennai Suburban railway. Ambattur was initially a village which was sprawled with farm lands that was irrigated by the Ambattur Lake. As the Ambattur industrial estate was developed in the year 1964, the growth of the place escated over the years. Ambattur is a well connected place via rail and road. The Chennai Tiruvallur High Raod or the NH205 connects Chennai and Kolkata which passes through the city of Ambattur.
