BESANT NAGAR

Besant Nagar is a neighborhood which is located in Chennai and it is named after Annie Besant. It is surrounded by Bay of Bengal in the east and Thiruvanmiyur, Adyar and Adyar Estuary in the south, west and north respectively. The Theosophical was founded in 1875 and its headquarters are located in Besant Nagar. Besant Nagar is inhibited by the famous citizens and personalities and affluent citizens of the state. There are a number of restaurants, cafes and shops in this region because of the posh bustling crowd. The main attraction of this place is the Elliot Beach which is named after Edward Elliot. It is the end most point of the Mariana Beach. The popular temple is Ashtalakshmi Temple and Annai Velankanni Church.
