An Overview
Egattur is a village in Tamil Nadu's Chengalpattu district, on the southern suburbs of Chennai. Siruseri is a suburban neighbourhood near the SIPCOT IT Park. It is located on the Old Mahabalipuram Road between Navalur and Kazhipathur, parallel to Muttukadu on the East Coast Road. It also shares a boundary with the Buckingham Canal, which flows into the Muttukadu backwaters. Illegal dumping and pollution have been major worries for Egattur inhabitants.
