MADURAI

Madurai is one of the major cities of Tamil Nadu and it is also the administrative headquarters of the district. It stands on the bank of River Vaigai and has been one of the major settlements in the state. Madurai can be accessed via all the modes of transport like road, rail and air. A number of National Highways passes through Madurai like the NH7, NH 45B, NH 208 and NH 49 apart from the state highways that connect Madurai with the major districts as well. It can also be accessed via rail through the Madurai Junction railways station and via air through the Madurai airport.
