SEMMENCHERRY

Semmencherry is a well known locality in Chennai situated in the Chennai District itself but at a distance of eighteen kilometres in the south of the main city. It falls along the Old Mahabalipuram Road and is a bustling neighbourhood in between Sholinganallur and Navalur. Though being a suburb, this area has experienced rapid development because of the IT companies in the region. Semmencherry houses the Sri Srinivasa temple which was built in the Pallava era and is one of the notified religious heritages. It is one of the oldest temples which lies in between Madhya Kailash and Mamallapuram.
