THIRUVALLUVAR NAGAR

The name Thiruvalluvar comes from a famous Tamil poet and philosopher named as the same and was also popularly known as Valluvar. He was an eminent part of Tamil literature, with his best known work being Tirukkurai which is a collection of couplets dealing with matters of ethics, love and economical and political matters. Thiruvalluvar Nagar is a small village which lies in the Rajapalaiyam block in the Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu. Falling under Ayyankollankondan, this hamlet is exactly located at a distance of fifty two kilometres from Virudhunagar, eight kilometres from Rajapalaiyam and almost six hundred kilometres from Chennai.
