Prestige Estates Projects Ltd acquires 25 acres in Medavakkam for major housing development
Prestige Group, through its listed entity Prestige Estates Projects Ltd, has announced for the development of a major residential project. The proposed development is expected to have a revenue potential of over ₹5,000 crore, making it one of the company’s largest upcoming housing projects in the city.
Medavakkam has emerged as a preferred residential destination due to its strategic location between key IT corridors, access to social infrastructure, and improving road connectivity. By securing a large contiguous land parcel in this micro-market, Prestige Group aims to cater to the rising demand for quality housing among both end-users and investors.
The acquisition aligns with the company’s long-term growth strategy of expanding in high-demand urban markets through large, well-planned residential communities. With Chennai witnessing steady residential absorption, Prestige Group’s latest investment is expected to play a key role in meeting housing needs while reinforcing its leadership position in South India’s real estate sector.
Why Prestige Group Medavakkam Project Is Worth Watching
Medavakkam is a residential locality in the south of Chennai Metropolitan city which is adjacent to the neighbourhood of Sholinganallur.
