Prestige Group Acquires 102 Acres of Land in Q1 to Launch Housing Projects Worth ₹20,400 Crore

Prestige Group, one of India’s leading real estate developers, has made a strategic move in Q1 FY26 by acquiring 102 acres of prime land across Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai. These acquisitions are part of the company’s broader plan to develop residential projects worth nearly ₹20,000 crore, strengthening its position in India’s high-demand urban housing markets. In Bengaluru, the group acquired three significant parcels: 10 acres in Poojanahalli (Devanahalli), 7 acres in Kothanuru (KR Puram), and 10 acres in Ittangur (Sarjapura). In Chennai, the company added 3.48 acres in Velachery, while in Mumbai, 6.3 acres were acquired, although the financial details of these transactions were not disclosed.

The acquisitions reflect Prestige’s long-term vision to expand its footprint in key metropolitan regions that are experiencing rapid urbanization, infrastructure development, and growing demand for premium and luxury housing. Bengaluru, known as India’s tech capital, continues to witness a surge in residential demand due to the influx of IT professionals and corporate expansion. Similarly, Chennai and Mumbai remain critical markets with consistent demand for both luxury and mid-segment housing, driven by population growth and urban migration.
