An Overview
Kanchipuram is also known as Kanchi is a town in Tamil Nadu which is located at a distance od seventy two kilometres from Chennai. It houses the administrative headquarters of Kanchipuram and it is also well connected by road and rail. The most important international and national airport in the city which is the Chennai International airport is in the Tirusulam district of Kanchi. The town bears historical and cultural significance and houses a number of temples and have been the main city of a number of dynasties in the past. The state buses connect the city to Chennai.
