SAIDAPET

Saidapet is a neighborhood in Chennai which was founded in the 18th century by the Nawab of the Carnatic. It was named after Sayid Khan Pettah who was the army commander of the forces of the Nawab. Later on, this place was captured by the British rulers in the 1700s. Saidapet can be accessed with the help of the suburban railway station and Saidapet lies in between Guindy and Mambalam. The Saidapet bus terminus is also located at Anna Malai and there is an excellent bus service operating in this area. Apart from that there are metro routes and a numbers of flyovers and bridges which makes the communication really easy.
